Wrapping Up a Great Year & Looking Forward Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! I wanted to take a moment to reflect on another great season and share some key updates from our AGM. Both Jason T. and I were re-elected, with this marking my final two-year term as President. Despite a tough first half of the season, including losing the Memorial Arena, we adapted and kept the league moving forward. Special thanks to Roger D. for keeping things organized during that stretch! Giving Back to the Community Our commitment to supporting local causes continues. On June 4, we awarded two deserving MBSS students with $1,250 scholarships. Additionally, our golf tournament raised $5,430 for charity, which we have topped up to $8,000—$5,000 will go to the Cranbrook Food Bank, and $3,000 to Cranbrook Street Angels. A huge thank you to our sponsors, donors, and the staff at the Cranbrook Golf Club for making this possible. What’s Next?Online registration is now open for the 2019-2020 season, with in-person registration starting mid-August at Players Bench. Fees will remain at $375 for full-time players and $50 for the spare list. Enjoy your summer, and see you next season! Scott S.

The Final Stretch – Year-End Tournament is Here! Hey everyone, we are in the final month of the season, and that means it’s almost time for our Year-End Tournament! To help players shake off the rust and get some extra ice time, an additional skate has been scheduled for March 24 during spring break. If you’re around, take advantage and get in one last tune-up before the main event. As always, dinner tickets for March 30 will be distributed to members soon, with additional tickets for spouses or guests available at $30 per ticket. We also ask that each team provide at least three prize donations for banquet night. The full year-end schedule will be posted on the website soon, following the same format as last year. Charitable Giving UpdateFor those wondering about our missed Christmas Food Bank drive, we are making them our primary donation recipient at this year’s Charity Golf Tournament in May! Enjoy the final month of the season—see you on the ice! Scott S.

I will provide updates as soon as I receive more details from the City. Final Call for Registration! We are down to the last couple of weeks before the September 15 registration deadline.
