Hello KCOHL Community,

Thanks to all who came out for Draft Night on the 18th. It was a great success, lots of fun, and the perfect kickoff to the season!

With the draft now complete, all players have been assigned to their teams. Here are a few important notes as we get ready to drop the puck:

πŸ—“ Season Start

  • The season begins Sunday, September 28th.
  • Jerseys and socks will be handed out at your first game.
  • If you can’t make your first game, please mark yourself as "Not Going" in Teamlinkt.
  • Monday games with the Nifty 50s (as well as one additional set of games in February) still need to be added to the schedule.

πŸ‘₯ Team Reps & TeamLinkt

  • You should have already received your first message via email as to what team you're on.
  • Please remember: your rep is not responsible for communicating your attendance to teammates - YOU ARE. That’s where TeamLinkt comes in.
  • TeamLinkt is the tool used by all players to let your temamates know who’s in or out for games and ensure we’ve got at least 10 players on the ice of the 14 players on your team (+1 goalie).
  • Try to let your teammates know within 24 hours if you're going to make it or not - team reps will use the spares app to find extra players if you are going to be short.
  • The app is not required but is super convenient. You'll receive an email reminder of your upcoming game that you can let your teammates know your status as well.
  • Download Teamlinkt & log in now (using the same email/password you registered with):

πŸ† Key Dates

  • November Tournament: November 14–16. One KCOHL team will enter again this year.
    • To reserve your spot: email [email protected]
    • Online signup link & full details will follow in the coming weeks.
  • Year-End Wrap-Up Tournament: Final weekend of Spring Break in March.
    • We secured this weekend with the City to help maximize turnout based on player feedback... no more conflicts at the start/middle of Spring Break!

πŸ™Œ Get Involved

This year we’re adding a few changes to get more players involved:
  • New spares system to give everyone on the extra shift list more opportunities to play.
  • Each team will now have at least one:
    • A Team Rep
    • A Beverage Guy
    • A Music Guy (league will provide Bluetooth speakers 🎢🍺)
  • Beyond the ice, we’re always looking for volunteers for tournaments, dressing room fun, and league improvements. If you’d like to contribute, we’d love to hear from you!
And no matter what remember we're here for fun and good times, treat your teammates and opponents and officials with respect.

That’s it for now. We’re looking forward to another great season with an excellent group of comrades - see you on the ice this weekend!

Cheers!
