President’s Message
As we move toward the end of another season of the Key City Old Timer Hockey League, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who continues to make this league what it is.
|
The KCOHL is about more than hockey. It is a league built on camaraderie, fun, and a shared sense of community. Week after week, players, officials, sponsors, and volunteers show their commitment not only to the game, but to each other, and that is what truly sets this league apart.
|
I would also like to share an important message with the league. A service for Mike Panic will be held on Tuesday, February 17 at 2:00 PM at MacPherson Funeral Home, with a gathering to follow at the Cranbrook Golf Course. The family has asked that this information be shared with league members who may wish to attend and show their support.

On behalf of the executive, thank you to everyone who contributes their time, effort, and energy throughout the season. Your commitment matters and is greatly appreciated.

Community Support – Thorne Family Fundraiser Update
The KCOHL community once again showed what it stands for this season. Through the combined efforts of current and past players, along with members of the broader old timers hockey community, $10,080 was raised in support of the Thorne family.

A special thank you to Brandon Laurie for leading this fundraiser, and to everyone who contributed. This level of generosity does not happen by accident and is a true reflection of the camaraderie and character that defines old timers hockey. Congrats to Garrett Scott who won the autographed Paul Coffee jersey!

Player Availability On Super Bowl Sunday
With Super Bowl Sunday coming up this Sunday, February 8, we need all players who will not be attending their scheduled games to check in on the TeamLinkt app as soon as possible and mark themselves unavailable. This weekend has the potential to be tight for numbers, as the spare list may also be depleted. Advance notice is critical so we can ensure we are icing full teams.

If you are not planning on watching the Super Bowl, this could be a great opportunity to stick around and play a back to back game (or more). Our priority is fielding teams with at least 10 players, and your early check-in helps make that possible. Thanks in advance for helping us stay organized and competitive this weekend.
