November Tournament Highlights and Thank You

This November, two KCOHL teams stepped up to compete in an eight team tournament that delivered some great hockey and even better memories.

While this tournament is not officially a “KCOHL” tournament, many players from our league take part each year, and it plays a significant role in supporting the broader goals of the KCOHL. What many players may not realize is that the November Tournament accounts for approximately 25 percent of the total donations we distribute to community organizations throughout the year.

We recognize that not everyone plays in tournaments, and that is something we want to improve. Our goal moving forward is to be more organized earlier, create proper divisions, and ensure that anyone who wants to participate has a fair opportunity to do so .

We would also love your feedback. If you did not play this year, let us know why and what we can do better next season.

A huge thank you goes out to the sponsors who generously donated a wide range of prize packages. Their support is critical to the success of this fundraiser.

A special thank you to the officials who surely have better things to do than manage man-babies all weekend, without you our tournament insurance coverage would balloon every year.

A lot goes into planning a tournament So thank you to the time Keepers, the bartenders, the helpful facility staff, the fans and of course the players.

Finally, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to Marc Swirsky and Jason Jacob . These two have run and managed this important fundraiser for years, and without their time, effort, and experience, this tournament simply would not happen. Thank you both for everything you continue to do for the league and the community.
